Storms drench Bendigo
Residents in central and northern Victoria are mopping up after heavy rains and wild storms over the long weekend.
A violent storm that hit the Shepparton region on Sunday afternoon, brought down powerlines and uprooted trees.

Downpour does little for dams
The recent heavy rain has had little impact on the level of some of central New South Wales’ water catchments.
Falls of up to 90 millimetres have been recorded in some parts of the central west in the past four days.

Wild weather is lashing parts of central western New South Wales.
Police are investigating whether yesterday afternoon’s heavy rain caused an accident on the Mitchell Highway at the Rocks between Orange and Bathurst about 5:00pm (AEDT).

Storms and heavy rain have caused problems, keeping State Emergency Service crews busy overnight.
They responded to 30 call-outs in three hours as the front hit Adelaide’s northern suburbs and parts of Yorke Peninsula.
